Draw and cut out numbers from construction paper. |

Put tape on several areas at the back of each number. |

Stick the numbers onto sketch paper. |

Prepare different colors of paint on your palette. Do not mix too much water with your paint. We don't want the paint to be runny. |

Paint around each number with outward strokes. You can use one or several colors on each number. |

Young children can use a small roller brush as an easier alternative. |

Once you're finished painting all the numbers, set the picture aside to dry. |

Remove the numbers to reveal the "exploding" number silhouettes you've created! |
