1. |
Choose two colors of construction paper to make a two-toned teddy bear. |
2. |
Draw and cut a number "8" on one color of construction paper. This will define the bear's main shape. |
3. |
Trace the outer edges of the number "8" on the second color of construction paper to make an outline of the bear's body. |
4. |
Transform the number "8" outline into a bear by drawing two circles on top to make the ears, two arms and a pair of legs. |
5. |
Cut out the teddy bear. |
6. |
Glue the number "8" on top of the teddy bear, aligning its edges with the bear's body. |
7. |
Use crayons to add details on your teddy bear: two round eyes, a nose, and a mouth. Each ear should have a half-circle like any teddy bear. |
8. |
Draw an oval on each arm and leg. Don't forget to color inside each oval. |
9. |
Use crayons, markers, or puffy paint to write the numbers 1 to 12 on the circle around the bear's tummy.
If you want the numbers to be accurately positioned like a real clock, you can mark the correct spots before writing the numbers. |
10. |
Make the clock's hands by drawing and cutting out two arrows from construction paper. One arrow should be slightly longer. |
11. |
Align the arrows and punch a hole near the base. Insert a round paper fastener through the hole. |
12. |
Punch a hole at the center of the bear's tummy. Insert the round paper fastener through the hole and split its ends at the back. |
13. |
Now you're ready to learn the time with teddy. Can you tell what time it is? Move the arrows around to change the time. |
