Paint and decorate a paper plate into an easy Christmas reindeer.

  • Kids 8 years and younger should use child-safe scissors.
  • Small craft materials such as wiggle eyes are choking hazards. Not appropriate for use by children below the age of three.
Paper Plate Reindeer craft

Materials

  • Paper plate
  • Brown construction paper
  • Any water-based paint
  • Paint brush
  • Scissors
  • White glue
  • Pencil
  • Black marker or crayon
  • Wiggle eyes
  • Pompom
  • Fabric bow (optional)

Steps

Step 1 Paper Plate Reindeer craft 1. Use any water-based brown paint to color the bottom side of a paper plate. Set the painted plate aside to dry.
Step 2 Paper Plate Reindeer craft 2. Make a pair of handprints by tracing around your right and left hands on brown construction paper.
Step 3 Paper Plate Reindeer craft 3. Cut out the pair of handprints.
Step 4 Paper Plate Reindeer craft 4. Glue or tape the handprints at the back of the painted paper plate's top edge to make a pair of antlers for the reindeer.
Step 5 Paper Plate Reindeer craft 5. Glue on a pair of wiggles eyes and a fluffy pompom nose.
Step 6 Paper Plate Reindeer craft 6. Draw a mouth with a black marker or crayon.
Step 7 Paper Plate Reindeer craft 7. As an option you can glue on a bow at the bottom of the reindeer's face. Allow the glue to dry before putting up your paper plate reindeer as an adorable Christmas décor.
