Use a balloon to make a papier mache, click here for detailed procedure. The papier mache will dry within 2 to 3 days. |

Once the papier mache is completely dry, pop the balloon and cut out a small hole (½ to 1 inch diameter) around the air hole end of the papier mache. Remove the balloon latex as well. |

Pour ½ cup of sand into the hole. |

The sand will allow the papier mache to balance and stand on its own. If it's still a bit wobbly, add a bit more sand until it is balanced.

Draw and cut out a pair of ears, front legs and hind legs out of cardboard box. |

Tape the ears and legs to the papier mache body with masking tape. |

Papier mache over the hole on top as well as over the areas with masking tape. |

Allow the papier mache to dry. |

Paint over the whole sculpture with your chosen color of acrylic paint. Bunnies are most commonly painted white but you can choose other colors like brown, gray, pink, light blue, lavender, or even black. |

Once the paint is dry, draw lines on the front and hind legs with black marker pen. |

Glue on any of these materials for the eyes, nose, and snout:
- EYES- wiggle eyes, buttons, flat beads, or circle cut-outs from paper
- NOSE- pompom, bead, or oval cut-out from paper
- SNOUT- cotton

Cut six 3-inch long thin strips of black construction paper. |

Apply glue on one end of each strip before gluing them onto the cotton snout to make whiskers. |

14. |
Finish up by cutting out two oval shapes from pastel-colored paper and gluing one inside each bunny ear. |
