1. |
Find a paper bowl to turn into your tote or basket. A smaller bowl makes a cute tote and is more manageable for little kids to work on. |
2. |
Create a bear following either instructions below. In both options, take special note to define the size of the bear's head by tracing around the bowl's lip.
a.) Drawing and cutting various-sized circles from construction paper and gluing them together to make a bear's head. Step-by-step instructions are outlined in our Circles Bear craft. |
b.) Drawing a bear on construction paper, then coloring and cutting it out. These series of photos suggest an easy way of drawing a bear using circles. |
3. |
Trim off an inch or so from one side of the paper bowl. |
4. |
Punch a hole on each corner of the bowl's trimmed edge. |
5. |
Glue the bowl at the back of the bear's head. The opening on the bowl should be facing up. |
6. |
Make a pipe cleaner handle. Fasten the pipe cleaner ends around the pair of opposite holes on the bowl. |
7. |
You may accent the handle with a ribbon. Once the glue dries, you can use your Teddy Bear Tote to collect candies or spring time blooms. |
