Materials

  • Construction paper
  • Craft foam, construction paper or
    any colored paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick
  • Craft punches (optional)

Steps

Step 1 Many Shapes Picture 1. For the background, choose any color of construction paper and cut it into the desired shape such as a triangle, a circle, a square or a heart.
Step 2 Many Shapes Picture 2. Cut various-sized shapes such as circles, triangles, squares, rectangles, ovals, trapezoids, hearts and stars on craft foam or colored paper. You can use craft punches for small shapes.
Step 3 Many Shapes Picture 3. Play around with the shapes to create images such as this girl.
Step 4 Many Shapes Picture 4. Or a couple of fishes.
Step 5 Many Shapes Picture 5. Or a house in a landscape. Exercise your imagination and come up with really interesting images!
Step 6 Many Shapes Picture 6. Decide on which images to put on your picture and glue the shapes on your background paper. This snow man picture is made out of circles, triangles, rectangles, ovals and a trapezoid.
