Many Shapes Picture

In this shapes learning craft, kids combine shape cut-outs to come up with their own unique picture.

Materials Needed

	1.	For the background, choose any color of construction paper and cut it into the desired shape such as a triangle, a circle, a square or a heart.
	2.	Cut various-sized shapes such as circles, triangles, squares, rectangles, ovals, trapezoids, hearts and stars on craft foam or colored paper. You can use craft punches for small shapes.
	3.	Play around with the shapes to create images such as this girl.
	4.	Or a couple of fishes.
	5.	Or a house in a landscape. Exercise your imagination and come up with really interesting images!
	6.	Decide on which images to put on your picture and glue the shapes on your background paper. This snow man picture is made out of circles, triangles, rectangles, ovals and a trapezoid.
	7.	This lovely butterfly is decorated with colorful triangles, circles, hearts and rectangles.
	8.	Check out this flying airplane. Can you tell what shapes are used?
	9.	This triangle picture has an entire landscape of shapes, including a house, a girl, a couple of trees, mountains in the distance, and a bright shining sun.

Keep scraps of craft foam or paper when making your craft projects. They can be used to make crafts like this one that only require bits and pieces of craft foam or paper.
