  • Watch out for this sign Ask for an adult's help. It means you need an adult's help for the particular step.

Steps

Step 1 Rainbow Doodles Ask for an adult's help1. Bundle up crayons or markers into groups of 2's, 3's, 4's or 5's. Smaller kids have smaller hands so they can only hold so much.
Step 2 Rainbow Doodles 2. Test the bundled-up pens if they are writing well. Adjust the height of the pens if necessary.
Step 3 Rainbow Doodles 3. Cover your working area with a mat or with newspapers. Provide a large enough paper for your child to draw on. Let kids doodle, scribble, and draw as they please. Remind your child that scribbling and doodling should only be done on paper and only during "art time".
