Bundle up crayons or markers into groups of 2's, 3's, 4's or 5's. Smaller kids have smaller hands so they can only hold so much. |

2. | Test the bundled-up pens if they are writing well. Adjust the height of the pens if necessary. |

3. | Cover your working area with a mat or with newspapers. Provide a large enough paper for kids to draw on. Let them doodle, scribble, and draw as they please. Remind them though that scribbling and doodling should only be done on paper and only during art time. |
