Fulfill a child's need to squeeze with this super fun squeeze painting activity.

Safety Tips

  • Remind children to not squeeze the bottles near anyone's face. If paint gets in the eyes, wash immediately with running water.
Squeezing Lines craft

Materials

  • Dark-colored construction paper
  • Squeeze bottles (Glue bottles, ketchup bottles)
  • Puffy paint (commercial or homemade)

Steps

Step 1 Squeezing Lines 1. Prepare your puffy paint either from colored white glue or from colored flour paste. Pour them into squeeze bottles. Commercially available ones are usually branded as puffy paint, 3-D paint or relief paint.
Step 2 Squeezing Lines 2. Cut any dark-colored construction paper into the desired size. Squeeze lines, shapes or images on the paper.
Step 3 Squeezing Lines 3. Random squeezing can also make interesting abstract lines.
Step 4 Squeezing Lines 4. Challenge yourself by composing an entire picture. Puffy paint will dry with a bright and raised appearance.
