Find a shallow paper bowl to make into your skillet. Punch a pair of holes about 1 inch apart on one side of the paper bowl. This is where the handle will be attached. |
 |
2. |
Cut a 14 to 16-inch length of metal wire. Bend it into the skillet's handle. |
 |
3. |
Insert the bent ends of the wire handle through the pair of holes on the paper bowl. Use glue gun to fix the ends in place. |
 |
4. |
Paint the entire bowl with black or any dark colored acrylic paint. Set the skillet aside to dry. |
 |
5. |
Cut a piece of craft foam to wrap around the skillet's handle. Use hot glue gun or staple the edges together to create a tube shape. |
 |
6. |
Insert the skillet handle inside the craft foam tube. |
 |
7. |
Round out the tip of the craft foam tube. |
 |
8. |
Seal the tip of the craft foam tube using a glue gun. |
 |
9. |
You may decorate the handle with small craft foam shapes or sequins. |

Think of what food you'd like to put into your skillet. Use any of the following materials for your food sculptures: modeling clay, play dough, homemade salt dough, or self-hardening clay. Sculpt the clay or dough into food shapes and arrange them inside your skillet. |

11. |
Be creative and model your favorite food. Just remember, these are just pretend food and they are not edible! |
