Sand Cake craft

Materials

  • Sand
  • Sand bucket and shovel
  • Styrofoam board or any sturdy board
  • Shaving foam
  • Small beads
  • Crayon shavings
  • Birthday candles (optional)

Steps

Step 1 Sand Cake craft 1. Moisten sand prior to use.
Step 2 Sand Cake craft 2. Fill a sand bucket with sand. Compact the sand by pressing with a small shovel.
Step 3 Sand Cake craft 3. Cut a piece of Styrofoam board or any sturdy board for your sand cake's base. Cover the bucket with this board base.
Step 4 Sand Cake craft 4. Turn the bucket upside down while holding the board in place.
Step 5 Sand Cake craft 5. Gently remove the bucket to reveal your sand cake.
Step 6 Sand Cake craft 6. Decorate with shaving foam to make the "icing".
Step 7 Sand Cake craft 7. Sprinkle the shaving foam with small beads.
Step 8 Sand Cake craft 8. Brown or pink crayon shavings would look like chocolate or strawberry flakes.
