  • Black pen marker

Steps

Step 1 Rainbow Sun Catcher 1. Draw a rainbow shape on a transparent film and make six arcs inside the rainbow.
Step 2 Rainbow Sun Catcher 2. Cut out the rainbow. Make sure not to leave any sharp edges.
Step 3 Rainbow Sun Catcher 3. Prepare six colors of poster paint or glass paint: the three primary colors red, yellow and blue; and the three secondary colors orange, green and purple. Click here on how to mix primary colors into secondary colors.
Step 4 Rainbow Sun Catcher 4. Paint your rainbow by following these colors, starting from the outermost arc, going inwards: red, orange yellow, green, blue, and purple. Let the paint dry completely.
Step 5 Rainbow Sun Catcher 5. Apply glue on both ends of the rainbow.
Step 6 Rainbow Sun Catcher 6. Place cotton on the glue to make fluffy clouds.
Step 7 Rainbow Sun Catcher 7. Poster paint may chip off after a while but glass paint will last. This sun catcher is best placed on a sunny glass window.
