Steps

Step 1 Folding Six-Petal Paper Flower Craft 1. Start out with a square piece of paper.

*Try not to use thick or heavy paper as it may be difficult to fold and cut.
Step 2 Folding Six-Petal Paper Flower Craft 2. Fold the square diagonally in the middle to come up with a triangle.
Step 3 Folding Six-Petal Paper Flower Craft 3. Fold the resulting triangle along the middle to come up with a smaller triangle.
Step 4 Folding Six-Petal Paper Flower Craft Ask for an adult's help4. Invert the triangle so that the solid corner (the corner corresponding to the paper's center) is at the bottom. Divide the triangle into 3 equal sections, each with a 30 degree angle. The most accurate way to do this is to use a protractor. If you don't have a protractor, you can estimate the size of the sections as you do Steps 5 and 6.
Step 5 Folding Six-Petal Paper Flower Craft 5. Once you've marked out the three equal sections, fold the left section towards the front.
Step 6 Folding Six-Petal Paper Flower Craft 6. Similarly fold the right section towards the front.
Step 7 Folding Six-Petal Paper Flower Craft 7. Flip the entire shape over so that the side with the horizontal edge is facing up. Cut along the horizontal edge so that you come up with a wedge.
Step 8 Folding Six-Petal Paper Flower Craft 8. Draw half-a-petal starting from one of the wedge's top corner to about ½-inch from the bottom of the opposite side. Cut along the line.
Step 9 Folding Six-Petal Paper Flower Craft 9. Unfold the paper to reveal a 6-petal flower. Cut out a circle from paper, craft, foam, felt, or fabric. Glue it at the center of the flower.
