Community Helper Stick Puppets

Print out, color, cut out and glue our friendly community helper characters on a stick to make easy puppets for a theme or lesson on community helpers or people's jobs.	Safety Tips Young kids (3 to 8 years) should use child-safe scissors.
Materials A4 or Letter size paper or card stock Crayons or colored pencils Scissors Glue or scotch tape Craft sticks or drinking straws

Steps

	1.	We have 3 community helper sets that you can print out on A4 or Letter size paper or card stock: Set 1 - Nurse, doctor, scientist, engineer or architect Set 2 - Firefighter, police officer, mail carrier, farmer or gardener Set 3 - Teacher, chef or cook, musician, dancer To preview thumbnail images of these printables, visit our Community Helpers and People's Jobs template page.
	2.	Color the characters.
	3.	Cut them out.
	4.	Glue or tape a craft stick or drinking straw at the back of each paper character.
	5.	Once the glue dries, use your stick puppets to learn about people's roles in the community.
