Tiny Paper Hat
Make a fabulous paper hat for your salt dough snowman sculpture.

- Young kids (3 to 8 years) should use child-safe scissors.
Steps

1. | Cut construction paper into a rectangular piece. It should be long enough to go around your snowman's head and its height should approximately be about 2-3 inches. Apply glue along one of the shorter sides. | |

2. | Glue the 2 short ends of the paper together so that you come up with a rolled piece. | |

3. | Trace the round base of this rolled piece on construction paper. | |

4. | Draw a slightly bigger circle outside the first one. | |

5. | Cut out the bigger circle, as well as the inner circle to come up with the hat's brim. | |

6. | Going back to the rolled piece, cut fringes both on its top and bottom edges. The fringes on top should be longer than those at the bottom. | |

7. | Apply glue along the inner side of the top (and longer) fringes. | |

8. | Fold the fringes inward. The overlapping fringes will form the top end of the hat. | |

9. | Bend the bottom (and shorter) fringes outward. | |

10. | Apply glue on the hat's brim. Insert the brim from the top of the hat and slide it all the way down until it reaches the bottom fringes. | |

11. | Press on the brim to glue it effectively with the bottom fringes. Go back to Salt Dough Snowman craft. |
