1. | Choose from any of these Halloween templates and print them out on Letter size or A4 paper/card stock. Notice that the template pieces come in mirror image pairs in case you would like to make two-sided decorations.
You may also draw your own jack-o-lanterns, ghosts, witches, bats, black cats, and other Halloween characters. |

2. | Color the templates or drawings. | |

3. | Cut out the pieces. | |

4. | Glue one of the Halloween cut-outs on one end of a craft stick. | |

5. | If you want to decorate both sides of your Halloween stick decorations, apply glue at the back of the template piece you glued on in Step 5, including the tip of the craft stick. | |

6. | Position the second piece on top of the first. The pieces are mirror images and can be aligned perfectly along the edges. Press the pieces together to glue them in place. |

7. | Trim off any excess or white areas along the edges. | |

9. | Use apple halves or relatively thick chocolate bars as the base for the Halloween stick decorations. Plant the bottom end of each stick at the center of an apple half or chocolate bar. | |

Instead of using paper you may create your Halloween decorations out of craft foam. Trace around the cut template pieces on craft foam or you may draw directly on craft foam. Draw the details on the Halloween characters with markers or puffy paint. Avoid using small objects like wiggle eyes or beads to decorate the characters since these might fall into the bowl of goodies. |
