1. |
Draw 6 to 8 butterflies or print out any of these butterfly sets (Templates 1 to 5). |
 |
2. |
Color or paint the butterflies. You can make uniform-colored butterflies like I did or give each butterfly a unique color and pattern. Once you're happy with the color and design of your butterflies, cut each one out. |
 |
3. |
Create the base of the crown by cutting out a 1-inch wide strip of construction paper long enough to go around your head. |
 |
4. |
Glue the middle section of each butterfly onto the construction paper strip. The butterflies can be slightly overlapping since the wings are not glued on. |
 |
5. |
Continuing gluing on the butterflies along the length of the paper strip. Remember to leave at least a 1-inch margin at the end of the paper strip. |
 |
6. |
Glue the ends of the paper strip together to form a round crown. Once the glue dries, try on your butterfly crown! |
