Butterfly Crown

Craft an easy springtime crown adorned with colorful paper butterflies.	Safety Tips Kids 8 years and younger should use child-safe scissors.
Materials Construction paper A4 or Letter size paper (for printing) Crayons, markers or colored pencils Glue stick Scissors

Steps

	1.	Draw 6 to 8 butterflies or print out any of these butterfly sets (Templates 1 to 5).
	2.	Color or paint the butterflies. You can make uniform-colored butterflies like I did or give each butterfly a unique color and pattern. Once you're happy with the color and design of your butterflies, cut each one out.
	3.	Create the base of the crown by cutting out a 1-inch wide strip of construction paper long enough to go around your head.
	4.	Glue the middle section of each butterfly onto the construction paper strip. The butterflies can be slightly overlapping since the wings are not glued on.
	5.	Continuing gluing on the butterflies along the length of the paper strip. Remember to leave at least a 1-inch margin at the end of the paper strip.
	6.	Glue the ends of the paper strip together to form a round crown. Once the glue dries, try on your butterfly crown!
