Decorate the crown by gluing on a variety of materials. Let kids choose and create a look for their crown. Here are some decorating ideas:
a.) Funny Crown- create a jester-like crown with colorful buttons and pom-poms.
b.) Pretty in Pink- pretty up your crown with glitter glue, plastic gems, and rhinestones. Get more bejeweling ideas from our Bejeweled Crown craft.
c.) Princess Crown- go for an absolutely princess look by gluing a boa at the bottom edge of your crown, adding rhinestones, gem-style stickers, glitter glue, and a princess sticker (or look for a Princess clipart online, print it and cut it out).
d.) Frog Prince- cut out craft foam, felt, fabric, or paper into simple shapes and put them together to create an exciting design. This would be a great way to incorporate animal and cartoon characters to your crown. Add other materials like wiggle eyes, buttons, or brads to accent your crown. |
7. |
Cut a piece of elastic band to a length of about 10 to 12 inches. Insert the ends of the elastic band through the opposite holes on the crown, knotting each end from the inner side of the crown. |
8. |
The crown should fit snugly on your head. You can adjust the length of the elastic, if necessary. |
