Frozen Princess Crown

Our princess crown templates are inspired by the characters from the movie Frozen. Make lovely Princess Elsa or Princess Anna crowns out of paper or craft foam in just a few easy steps.
Frozen Princess Crown craft

Materials

Paper crown

  • Printable card stock
  • Crayons or any water-based paint
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick
  • Paint brush
  • Glitter glue, plastic gems, rhinestones (optional)

Craft foam crown

  • Craft foam
  • Printable card stock
  • Elastic band or fabric ribbon
  • Scissors
  • Hole punch
  • Pencil
  • White glue
  • Glitter glue, plastic gems, rhinestones (optional)

Safety Tips

  • Small craft materials such as rhinestones and sequins are choking hazards. These are not suitable for children below the age of three.
  • Watch out for this sign Ask for an adult's help.. It means adult help is needed for the particular step.

Steps

PAPER CROWN

Step 1 Frozen Princess Paper Crown craft 1.

Print out the template.

Print out the any of these Frozen princess crown templates on A4 or Letter size card stock. Choose the plain template if you want to color or paint your own crown.

Step 2 Frozen Princess Paper Crown craft 2.

Color the template.

Color or paint the crown, including the two long bands. Gold or light blue are great colors for a Princess Elsa crown while pink or lavender are perfect for a Princess Anna crown.

Add some sparkle.

Once the paint dries, add sparkle with some glitter glue. Apply dots or lines along the edges of the crown or create patterns and designs on the entire crown.

Step 3c Frozen Princess Paper Crown craft Use a paint brush to spread glitter glue on larger sections or onto the entire surface of the crown.

Cut out the template.

When the glitter glue dries, cut out the template pieces.

Add some more accents.

You can further decorate your crown with rhinestones, plastic gems, sequins, stickers, ribbons, lace, and other accents.

Glue the template pieces together.

Glue one straight band behind the crown template's left edge. Glue the other band behind the crown's right edge.

Glue the bands together.

Glue the ends of the bands together to fit around your head.

Wear the crown.

Finally, try on your pretty princess crown. The gold crown looks just like Princess Elsa's, don't you think?

CRAFT FOAM CROWN

Print out the template.

Print out the plain Frozen princess crown template on A4 or Letter size card stock.

Cut out the template.

Cut out the main crown piece.

Make a crown outline on craft foam.

Trace around the crown on craft foam. The template can be held in place with paper clips or masking tape while you trace.

Cut out the crown.

Decorate the crown.

Glue a large plastic gem at the center of the crown. Trim the excess foam around the gem. You can further decorate the rest of the crown with a variety of materials such as sequins, rhinestones, foam or fabric shapes, small buttons, stickers, ribbons, lace, washi tape, and other accents.

Add straps.

In order to wear the crown, you will need to attach a strap or a pair of straps to hold the crown in place around your head.

a.) Ribbons - Cut 2 strips of fabric ribbon, each at least 12 inches long. Punch a hole each on the right and left edges of the crown. Tie one end of a ribbon around each hole. Tie the loose ends of the ribbons together towards the back as you wear the crown.
Step 6b Frozen Princess Craft Foam Crown craft b.) Elastic band - Cut a strip to about about 10 to 12 inches. Insert the ends of the elastic band through the pair of holes on the crown, knotting each end from the inner side of the crown.
Step 6c Frozen Princess Craft Foam Crown craft Ask for an adult's help. *For a more durable crown, you can sew the ribbons or elastic bands onto your crown.

Wear the crown.

Try on your lovely craft foam crown.
