Paper Basket

Choose from three different templates to print out and decorate into a paper basket that you can tote along or glue onto a background.

Materials Needed

  • Printable paper (A4 or Letter size)
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick
  • Crayons
  • Decorate with: craft foam shapes,
    buttons, beads, rhinestones,
    sequins, stickers, glitter glue,
    puffy paint, ribbons, etc.

  • Always let your child use child-safe scissors.

Steps

Step 1 Paper Basket 1. Print out any of these basket templates. Print out the first page twice for the Medium and Large baskets.
Step 2 Paper Basket 2. Cut out the template pieces.
Step 3 Paper Basket 3. Glue the handle onto one of the basket body pieces.
Step 4 Paper Basket 4. To make a basket with a "pocket", apply glue along the outer edges of the basket body, except on the top edge.
Step 5 Paper Basket 5. Glue the second basket body piece on top of the first, making sure to align both pieces properly.
Step 6 Paper Basket 6. Color and/or decorate your basket.
Step 7 Paper Basket 7. When the glue has thorougly dried, slip in your other paper craft creations (e.g. Easter eggs, flowers, fruits, etc.) inside the basket's "pouch" or "pocket".
Step 8 Paper Basket 8. This basket can be carried around or it can be glued on to a paper background.
