Chinese Hat with Braid
Add more character to your Chinese Hat craft by adding a braid made from yarn.

Steps

Decide on how long you want the braid to be. Find a stiff board that is approximately the same length as your intended braid. Wound the yarn at least 20 times around the boards's longer side. | |

2. | Cut the end of the yarn from the main yarn ball. | |

3. | Carefully remove the yarn loops from the board, making sure to retain their shape. | |

4. | Tie one end of the yarn hair with a short piece of yarn or string. | |

5. | Cut the loops on the opposite side. | |

Make a hole on top of your Chinese hat and insert the tied end of the yarn hair. | |
