Tape a colored marker or crayon at the bumper end of a toy car. Make sure the tip of the pen is at the same level with the base of the wheel. |
 |
2. |
Take the car for a test drive. The pen or crayon should be drawing clear colored tracks as the car moves along. Adjust the position of the pen or crayon if necessary. |
 |
3. |
Tape other colored markers or crayons to more toy cars. |
 |
4. |
Cover your work area with a mat. Lay a piece of sketch paper flat on your mat and let kids play and draw with their toy cars.
Another fun idea is to cover a portion of the floor with butcher paper or any extra large piece of paper and let kids feel free to draw and play with their cars. |
