1 Place some shaving foam.

Dispense a good amount of shaving foam onto a plastic tray or placemat.

2 Level the shaving foam.

Level the shaving foam with a squeegee or a straight-edged piece of cardboard. The foam should be approximately an inch thick.

3 Add food coloring.

Place several drops of food coloring onto the shaving foam. You can start out with 2-3 colors since mixing too many can result in a mud-colored foam.

4 Swirl the colors.

Use a stick or the wooden tip of a paint brush to swirl the colors around. Let the stick skim the surface and drag the colors into interesting patterns. Try not to push down too deep into the shaving foam.

You can do random lines or go for more deliberate strokes and patterns.

5 Place the paper.

Cut paper to the desired size and shape. You can cut your paper into fun shapes such as hearts, butterflies or Easter eggs. The paper should be smaller than the colored area of your shaving foam.

Lay the paper onto the surface of the shaving foam. Gently press down on the paper so that it comes in contact with the colors on the foam.

6 Lift the paper.

Carefully lift the paper from the shaving foam.

7 Scrape off the shaving foam.

Place the paper on a flat surface. Use a clean squeegee or straight-edged piece of cardboard to carefully scrape off the shaving foam from the paper.

8 Let the paper dry.

Let the paper dry completely. Your beautiful marbled paper can be framed or made into a colorful book cover.

It can also be cut into smaller shapes and used for other craft projects.

9 Make more marbled prints.

You can lift 1 or 2 more marbled prints from your colored foam following Steps 5 to 8.

10 Mix the colored foam.

If you want to re-use the colored foam, skim off the top to remove most of the bright colors. Mix the remaining foam until it turns into a single color. Level the foam as you did in Step 2.

11 Make more marbled prints.

Make marbled prints following Steps 3 to 8. The colored foam layer will add a background color to your marbled prints.

Continue reusing the foam until the color gets too dark or muddy. Replace with a fresh batch of white shaving foam.
